Frequently Asked Questions

What are glass filter tips, and how do they improve rolling?

Glass filter tips are reusable tips made from glass that help provide a cleaner draw, maintain the integrity of the roll, and prevent resin or loose material from getting to your fingers or lips. Compared to cardboard or paper tips, glass tends to deliver smoother airflow, more consistent draw, and a more premium feel.

Are glass tips reusable and how do I clean them?

Yes — our glass tips are designed to be durable and reusable. To clean, rinse with warm water, gently scrub with a small brush or pipe cleaner to remove residue, and allow to dry thoroughly. Some styles (depending on shape) may be dishwasher safe (top rack), but hand-washing typically ensures longer life.

What sizes are available for glass filter tips, and which size should I choose?

We offer glass tips in multiple diameters (e.g. 8 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm, 12 mm) to match various roll sizes. Choose smaller sizes (e.g. 8 mm) for tighter draws or lower material amounts, and larger sizes (11-12 mm) for more airflow, larger fills, or when using hash/hole inserts.

What style options are there (round, spiral, helix, vented, etc.), and do they affect draw or flavor?

Yes, style matters. Different designs impact cooling, filtration, and airflow:

  • Round tips are simple and direct.

  • Spiral / Helix styles add internal structure that can help cool and diffuse smoke.

  • Vented versions help reduce ash and improve airflow.

  • Bullet tips are compact, tighter draw, more concentrated pull.

Each style offers a slightly different experience; you can pick based on how smooth, cool, or filtered you want your draw.

Do glass tips affect flavor or experience compared to other tip materials like wood or paper?

Glass is inert and does not add flavor; it generally preserves the natural taste of what you roll. Wood tips can add a warm, woody aroma or mouthfeel (subtle), while paper/cardboard may impart very minimal taste changes. If flavor purity is your priority, glass is a strong choice.

Are glass filter tips durable? What if they break?

Glass tips are quite durable when handled with care — drop protection, safe transport, and not applying excessive force help. However, they can break under impact. If that happens, our glass tips are usually individually sold, so you can replace just the broken ones. (You may also consider a case or protective tube for storage.)

What’s the best glass tip style for use with hash or concentrated inserts (ā€œhash holesā€)?

For hash or heavy concentrates, larger inner diameter (≄11 mm) tips are better because they can accommodate inserts without clogging. Styles with open or vented features also help maintain airflow when there’s added material inside.

Do glass tips change maintenance routines compared to paper/cardboard tips?

  1. Slightly. Glass requires more care in cleaning and handling, but in return offers reusability, better hygiene (less buildup), and longer life. Paper/cardboard are ā€œuse-once,ā€ minimal cleanup but generate more waste and less consistency.
